Introduction Letter

Welcome to Arc360, a place where everyone comes to share, gain knowledge, and make connections.

Hi, my name is Chau Huynh, and I am a senior at JEB Stuart High School. So what exactly is Arc360 about?

Arc360 started out as a business resource for the AASuccess students.  After one-and-a-half years, it was revamped in November 2011, became open to the mainstream, and transformed into a perfect place for members to explore their artistic side and submit works for sharing and peer review.  The site provides opportunities for students to experiment with contemporary forms of media, as well as multimedia production.  It also provides community service opportunities and workshops. The goal is to allow students to be more culturally aware and knowledgeable through the arts, so they can become well rounded.  More importantly, I think of Arc360 as a means to bring individuals – whether separated by cultural or age differences, social status, or lack of communication – together through art and writing.

As an artist, there are times when I find myself strongly disagreeing with people who often think of academic studies as more important than other ways of learning, such as art.  However, after participating in several Arc360 projects and being exposed to people who are different from myself, I realized that communication and intellectual knowledge are just as important, because they help me attract people to my art works, gain self confidence and exchange knowledge.  In other words, being intellectual and being creative establish harmony within a person.

And that is why Arc360 is important to me, as well as other students.

I hope you will have a great time at Arc360!
